Doris Toronyi, senior appraiser of Maynards, is the first woman to serve as president of the Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers. While Doris’ service reflects the growing presence of women in leadership roles with the appraisal industry, she does not see herself as a “woman president,” but rather as a president who happens to be a woman. However, Doris also recognizes that being the first carries significance. It signals something has shifted—that doors are opening wider and that the definition of leadership is expanding. For this, she is grateful—not only for herself but for every person who has ever waited for a seat at the table. Her goal is to foster a collaborative environment where every voice is heard and valued.

David  was named president of AMEA in 2023.  He previously served as the First Vice President and Treasurer. David is Vice President of Industrial Sales at TDI Group, LLC, where he specializes in facilitating machinery and equipment valuations and transactions for the metals and manufacturing sectors.
